We’ve Been on Your Side of the Desk.
We know what it’s like to run a business, make tough decisions, manage people, solve problems, and wonder whether the numbers are telling you the whole story. FixBooks was built from real-world business experience—not just accounting theory.
Between us, we bring decades of experience in business ownership, operations, financial management, accounting, and tax. More importantly, we understand how those pieces connect. We know how decisions made in the real world—from pricing and staffing to purchasing, production, and growth—ultimately show up in the numbers, and how those numbers can help guide the next decision.
That connection matters. Clean books are important, but understanding what’s behind the numbers is where they become truly useful. We help bridge the gap between what’s happening in your business every day and what shows up on your financial statements.
Because good accounting shouldn’t just record your business. It should help you run it better.
Meet Your New Team
When you work with FixBooks, you’re not just hiring someone to manage your books. You’re adding experienced business and financial professionals to your team.

Kristi Egenbacher
Co-Founder | Numbers & Know-How
Kristi has spent most of her career doing what she does best: asking questions until the numbers finally make sense.
After co-founding, growing, and ultimately selling a ready-mix concrete company, she learned that messy books are rarely just a bookkeeping problem. Somewhere behind those numbers is usually a process that broke down, a system nobody uses correctly, money going somewhere it shouldn’t—or a perfectly reasonable explanation that nobody bothered to find.
That’s the part she loves..
Kristi doesn’t just want to know what the numbers are. She wants to know why they are—and what needs to happen next.
She brings decades of real-world business and operational experience to FixBooks, along with a healthy dislike of unnecessary complexity, vague answers, and the phrase “that’s just how we’ve always done it.”
Kristi will tell you the truth about your numbers. The good news is, she’ll also help you fix them.

Jennifer Lambert, CPA
Co-Founder | Number Whisperer & Financial Strategy Guide
Jennifer has spent more than 30 years making sure businesses—and their numbers—tell the same story.
She started her career as an auditor, learning how to find what didn’t add up. But she quickly realized she’d rather help businesses fix problems before they became expensive ones than simply point them out afterward. That eventually led her to the work she loves most: helping business owners think like a CFO.
A licensed CPA since 1998 and a multiple-business owner herself, Jennifer brings both sides of the desk to FixBooks: technical accounting expertise and the real-world experience of someone who understands payroll, cash flow, growth, and the occasional mystery expense no one remembers authorizing.
Jennifer believes financial reports shouldn’t require an accounting degree to understand. The numbers should be clean, accurate and useful.
She’ll make sure the numbers are right, explain what they’re telling you, and help you figure out what to do next.
What You Can Expect From Us
We believe good financial support starts with trust. You can expect straight answers, practical guidance, clear communication, and a willingness to dig in when something doesn’t make sense. And if your books are a mess, don’t clean them up before we get there—that’s a little like cleaning your house before the housekeeper comes. We’ve seen messy. We can handle it.
We’re not here to overwhelm you with accounting jargon or make you feel like you should already know the answers. Ask the questions. Show us the problem. Tell us what keeps bothering you about the numbers. We’ll figure it out together.
No judgment. No unnecessary jargon. Just smart, practical help from people who understand that running a business is complicated enough already.
